Testimony was concluded last week in the case in U.S. District Court in Baltimore in which three employees of the Frostburg National Bank charge sex discrimination.Judge Shirley Jones, who has presided in the trial which began Dec. 1, reportedly has given the opposing attorneys in the case until Jan. 12 to file memorandums in the case.Sheila D. Grove, Janice K. Vought and Judith Ann Walker contend that the bank discriminated against them “because of sex in compensation, terms, conditions and privileges of employment.” Ms. Grove and Ms. Vought still are employed in the bank. Mrs. Walker did not return from a maternity leave about three years ago.The women are seeking a permanent injunction against the bank from further discrimination against female employees. They also are asking the court for back pay for losses they allegedly incurred in wages and other employment benefits.Doiein’e h Pnm
