IS. of Coconut Drive of violating the conditions of the probation that allowed him to remain freeHendry on Nov. .'1 was given probation for three years based on his plea of guilty to a charge of burglary.A month later, on Dec. 10. he was arrested on a new charge accusing him of grand larceny. Although bond on the new charge was set at $2,500, he was being held without bond pending a decision by the commission to charge him or not.THE CHARGE was filed Wednesday and later in the day County Court Judge Thomas T. Trettis Jr. appointed the public defender to represent him andset bond on the probation charge at $5,000.He remained in the county jail this morning on the total bond of $7,500.He faces five years in prison on the charge for which he was given probation, plus another five years if charged and convicted in the new case.The commission alleged Hendry, the son of Collier County's former sheriff, violated his probation on two grounds.IN THE CHARGE of his probation officer.
