Paterson will be presented Sunday evening at 6:30 by the First Ward Choir of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the chapel.The choir is directed by Mrs. Keith Taylor of Dillon. Da Kay Newton on the organ and Norma McCandless at the piano will accompany the singers.Special numbers will be a tenor solo “0 Holy Night” by Randall Hulet; alto solo “Away In a Manger” by Beth Strickling and a men’s trio “We Three Kings” by John Brown, John Hulet and Randall Hulet.Members of the choir are: soprano — Leah Cleverly, Verla McCandless, Delma Ruegsegger, Lillith Jones, Janet Pancheri, BethStrickling and Kathi Wheeler.Alta — Loraine Court, Bel Court, Laurie Graves, Patti Hulet,!SS!Dorothy Hulet, Bessie Hulet and Gaylene Taylor.Tenor — Randall Hulet and John Brown.Bass — Raymond Hildreth, Bryce Hildreth, John Hulet and Walter Hulet.The cantata combines many old familiar carols df Christmas and the public is cordially invited toagents in a Las Vegas, Nev. narcotics raid recently, U.S. Atty. William R. Burkett disclosed Thursday.The statues, valued at $19,000 were stolen from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center here in two thefts Nov. 13 and 14, 1969.4 *Dean Krakel, director of the hall, said he has just learned of the recovery Wednesday when “some FBI agents came and told me.”“It testifies to the strength andimportance of Russell that they would be recognized,” Krakefsaid.The statues are being held by the government in connection with the pending federal trial in Los Angeles of Gerald Katz, Burkett said.Katz was among four men charged early this year in last year’s theft of 53 Picasso etchings and lithographs from an Oklahoma City art gallery. He has been accused of possessing the Picasso works in California.The disclosure by Burkett came after the federal trial of John Edward Soares, 40. Soares was convicted Thursday of taking the Picassos out of Oklahoma.A witness in the Soares trial testified that while Soares was in Las Vegas last December days after the Dec. 18 Picasso theft, he did not ask about any Picassos. Instead, the witness said, Soares asked: “Do I know anybody who may want Western paintings?”Asked about that reference after the Soares conviction Burkett disclosed the recovery of the statues.All!. 1^1.
