Kirk. 22, of Malden, Mass., remained at liberty today.Judge Edmund P. Mahoney found probable cause today tohold Thomas J. Layte, 24, of Portland, and Lewis W. Tyrell, 2fi, of North Yarmouth for the January term of superior court on the four charges, I«»yte in $4.-000 bail and Tyrell in $8,000In* addition. Layte pleaded innocent to two charges of armed robbery resulting from two store holdups here Dec. 7 in which $170 was taken. He was held in $10.-000 on these charges.Layte and Tyrell were charged with assaulting Deputy Sheriffs Harry A. Burnell and Horace Butler during their escape.
