IN BRIEF— -—— Staff Wire ReportsCabbiedisarms gunmanA taxi driver foiled a robbery attempt Sunday afternoon after he wrestled a loaded gun from the would be robber, according to Fairbanks police.The driver. David Lindsley, 49, reportedly fought with the suspect at about 5:30 p.m. at Jil lian Square Apartments on Davis Road. Police said the sus pect called for a cab at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and once inside threatened the driver with the gun.The attempted robbery is the second of its kind in the past two weeks. Police said the same suspect called a cab to the hospital two weeks ago and successfully robbed another driver.The robber is described as a black male, 150 pounds, in his early 20s with a small build. He wore a felt hat and fled the scene on foot Sunday.
