uve weeks.Peter Click, fifty years old, of Peru,is under arrest, charged with criminally assaulting Stella Oliver and a girl named Donovan, neither of whom are thirteen years old. The Oliver girl is the daughter of Michael N. Oliver, and had been formally adopted by the accused. It is alleged that he established criminal relations, and that the girl was trrrified by threats of death. Last evening the facts became known to to Mr. Oliver, and while the girls were in ibe office of the prosecutor,Ciick entered the room. Oliver tried to kill him, but was prevented by the constabulary. After the warrants were issued Ciick was placed in jail. Mr. Oliver swears that he will yet kill him.
