--RANOHE DE8TR0YED.A Baildtos Occupied for Fears as a Bawdy House Burned Last Niglit. The one and one-half story frame building on the west side of DeGroff street, Bloomingdale, which for years was occupied as a house of ill-fame, was almost completely destroyed by fire Tuesday. A still alarm was turned in at 8:03 p. m., and a run was made from the central engine house. The firemen found the fire blazing in every room in the house and the roof was burned ofl. There were unmistakable evidences that the old shell had been sot on fire. Mat Clark, who keeps one of the lowest dives in the west, moved out of the old building a few months ago, bringing her depraved gang with her to Superior street right among respectable people. Since that time the old house has been the plaything of hoodlums who smashed out all of the windows and tore off all the blinds. The building and the ground on which it8tsuds is owned by Mollie Nichols, who formerfv lived in it and is now running a ranche in Lima, Ohio. There was no water in sight and the chemical engine did all the work. The police gay the house had an evil reputation for eighteen years.
