Winslow City Pollc* R*portThe following cases were recently investigated by the Winslow Police Department:Dec. 7: An employee at B*$h*s’ reported a shoplifting incident. Adeline Dixon allegedly attempted to take an item valued at $1.09. She was cited for shoplifting and released.A backing accident was reported in the 300 block of E. Mulberry. A vehicle driven by Ernest Joseph Jr. allegedly backed into a vehicle driven by Michael A. Cordova. Joseph was cited for unsafe backing.Dec. 8: A bieak-in was reported at the high school gymnasium. An unknown amount of weights were taken, as well as several photographs.Bill Whitney was arrested on three counts of burglary, two counts of theft, and two counts of trafficking in stolen property. The arrest was made in connection with several recent burglaries.An employee at Circle 1C No 1Slo M**ting«The Navajo County Board of Supervisors’ regular meetings for Dec. 18 or Dec. 25 will not be conducted due to the holidays. The first meeting of 1985 wilt be H*td on Wednesday, Jan. 2, during which time, newly elected county officials are to be sworn into office.Snowflake, Whiteriver and Winslow. Class registration will be conducted Jan. 14-18. Classes will begin on Jan. 21.SCTP veterans, who ore enrolled in the college preparatory/developmental classes, will be eligible for free tuition. SCTP veterans, who are enrolled in the QED or_adult basic education reported that a vehicle hod struck the building and left the area. The driver Eileen Pawytewa, of the vehicle was later located and arrested, charged with DWI, criminal damage, minor consuming, assault. Charges are also pending on possession of a controlled substance.Dec. 9: Perry Attakai was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.Vandalism was reported to the old radio station building.A resident in the 300 Block of Snyder reported the theft of a $20 money order from her residence.Dec. 10: An employee at Frosty Freeze reported a meal defraud in the amount of $5.25.John Weeks was anested and booked for trespassing following a fight in the Safeway parking lot.Charles Richard Gillespie was arrested for DWI and for having no proof of insurance.DWI arrests for the week included: Dec. 3, Larry Begay; Dec. 1, William Edward Hopkins, and Emmanuel Wells; Dec. 8.
