Borger Quoted As Uttering Threats“There Will Be A Killing- Before Night,” He Is Testified To Have Told One WitnessBy VESTEL LOTT Associated Press Staff WriterCANADIAN. Dec. 13.—An hour before his death A. P. (Ace) Borgcr patted the handle of hlf pistol and said, “There will be a killing before night, M. H. Chenault, Borger store operator, testified at the trial of Arthur Huey lato today.One of nine defense witnesses heard in an effort to establish a self-defense motive, Chenault told a dramatic story. Borger came Into his store the afternoon of Aug. 31, he said.I have your friend Huey where 1 want him. There will be a killing before night—111 either kill him or hell kill me.Chenault quoted him as saying.“I mean Just what I say.” Chenault said Borger asserted as he patted his pistol.Chenault went straight to Huey. Hutchinson county tax assessor and collector, and advised him to leave town, he said. “Huey answered that he 'wasn't going to run'.”Mrs. Marian Prutsman. secretary to Defense Attorney H. M.
