It seems that, however carefulone may be in the newspaper: business mistakes, errors, over-1 sights or what you will, are * ound to creep in and cause dis- j- satisfaction or misunderstanding. 1 2 In last week’s issue of the Times iin the publication of the countycourt docket, a case or tWo dis- ; posed ol at the October term and I; in vacation was put in by error i as having been disposed of at the December term. In one instance t at least, and to be specific, in the j matter of the dismissal of the case against Jeff D. Shelburne ! charged with aggravated assault t and battery, it is conceived that J an injustice was done the new * officials in tacitly charging them s- the disposition of the matter. ‘ , whcn it was done by the oldcourt. I his matter having been 1 n somewhat of a cause celebre by \ u reason of strong feeling on the c subject, the final nolle prosque s entered in the case and what c burden attaches thereto.it is con- c- sidered,should lie borne by those * responsible therefor and not the Inew court and its present officials. ® 1 his is well and good and so far Ias the Times is concerned, there jln it shall abide. This case was n finally disjx)sed of, as indicated, s on Oct. 2. 190b, by the old court, e the former county attorney * representing the state. There v was no desire to reflect on the t new court by innuendo as that is Inot the Times' style. We are ae sorry the error crept in and say r e this much by way of setting the v° matter right. ^ t
