Youngest Son of SupervisorHamner Is Laid to Rest;Impressive Services;Stores Close From 11 Until 1 O’clockCORONA, Dec. 11.—The funeral of Emmet Hamner was held Tuesday morning at 11:30 at Sunny Slope cemetery in Corona. The family and Immediate relatives gathered at theSimons Undertaking parlors in Riv-thlt;*rside and escorted the .body- to Corona. The pall bearers were Raymond Brown, Eugene Long, Arthur Web-eter and Percy Lillibridge of Corona and James McMillan of Arlington and Carl Douglas of Riverside. Rev. S. S. Sampson of the Methodist church, offered prayer at the grave which was followed with murfic by a quartet composed of Mrs. Geofge E. Snidecor, Mrs. Roy P. Rice, Rev. C. E. Maimann and Charles M. Seoville.Following the music Rev. Sampson spoke feelingly of the exemplary life of the young man so recently among us and whose end came as a result of an attack of influenza on Sunday evening after scarcely more than a week’s sickness.While Emmet Hamner was but IV years of age he hqd become a great favorite among his friends and acquaintances and was exceptionally?opqlar. He was a student at the blyteehnie High school in Riverside where he showed great promise. The sympathy of the city of Corona is extended to Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Hamner and the other members of the family in their bereavement. In honor of Mr. Hamner the stores and banks in Corona were closed during the funeral hour, frm lTtu l o’dock.
