Day-care centerMolesting deniedMaria Alien, mother of a woman who runs a Cameron Park daycare center that was shut down by the state because of alleged physical abuse and sexual molestation of three children, is denying there was any wrongdoing on the part of her daughter or son-in-law.The son-in-law, a 28-year-old man, is accused by the parents of the three children of having committed several acts of sexual child molestation and physical abuse. The children are ages 23 months, 3 and 5 years.No charges have been filed against the 28-year-old man by El Dorado County District Attorney Ron Tepper. The case yesterday stiil was being investigated by sheriffs inspector Bill White.A source close to the investigation told the Mountain Democrat yesterday that there are ‘'serious problems ... inconsistencies” in the children's accounts to investigators about what they say occurred at the Christine Family day-care center.Allen yesterday told the Mountain Democrat that she is angry and frustrated over the widespread publicity the case has received. She said three television news stories have shown her daughter’s home and identified her daughter and son-in-law by name.
