EOT PUCE 08 NEW PENAL FARMDaniel P. Mattingly, of this county, who has been serving a sentence in the Michigan City prison for forgery, is one of the few Michigan City prisoners who have been taken to the new penal farm at Putnamville. The farm was only recently opened and owing to the fact that it is not completed and the facilities for guarding the prisoners are not what theywill be later on, only the “trusties?were taken to the farm. Since his#confinement Mattingly is said to have been an ideal prisoner. He was' sentenced to from two to fourteen years upon his plea of guilty to a charge of forgery on November 19, 1913.
