The Vehdict,—The verdict of the: coroner's jaty in the David Martin j case is as follows: • !State at Iowa, Mahaska County, as. Martin, there lying dead, by the Jurors whose names are hereto subscribed. The said juroranpon their oaths do say that said Mary J. Martin came to her death about 3:23 o’clock on Monday morning, December 9,1882, at 610 1st Street SO nth Os- i kaloosa, Iowa, by reason of injuries received : upon her head Indicted with an ax held In the. hands or David Martin, her husband, on Bon-’ day morning, December l, 1889. and we further recommend that said David Martin beheld lo the grand jury on a charge oi murder In the first degree.
