Area Man Held in Kin’s DeathAfter sifting various accountsof a shooting in a Ladera Street residence, Pasadena police said Tuesday they believe Salvatore Licari, 65, was fatally wounded in the head as his nephew Frank J. Costello, 35, passed a pistol Io him.Costello, also a Pasadenan, is being held on suspicion of murder, authorities said, at Counly-USC Medical Center, where he is being treated for phlebitis.The shooting occurred at about 8:30 p.m.. Monday and Licari died of a single .32-caliber bullet wound in the left side of his head nearly four hours later.Different persons in the Ladera residence at the time of the shooting at first gave conflicting accounts of what had occurred, police said.
