He first advised police of the fighting with his mother, and then said she had been injured after becoming ill.Sherlock said that after leaving the Garrett county motel his mother’s condition worsened and he took her to the Brownsville hospital.Later Sherlock and his two sons went to the home of Mrs. Virginia McMaster, of Brownsville, for food and lodging.
