Waldo Weston and Deputy Marshal Kingsbury with the new Reis-ing sub-machine guns recently added to the local police department’s equipment.The new sub-machine guns added to the department’s equipment a few days ago were first tried by members of the police force Thursday afternoon and proved most successful. And the men found them much to their liking as promises that the guns had but little kick were founded when the men fired 20 shot clips in almost less time than it takesto draw a deep breath.With the addition of the submachine guns and the now assured two way radio the police department will be virtually aswell eqnipped as many of the larger departments in the State and certainly on a par with any small, department.Virtually all desired equipment now needed is a straight jacket, a gas kit and first aid kits. If these items were* to be provided the department would be as well equipped as any of its size. But at present the department has been improved more in the past few months than in many years, from the standpoint of equipment.
