PETER FIKE DIED AT HIS HOME AT SALEM A NATIVE OF KANSASPeter Fike died at his home in Salem, this county, this morning at 2:30 o’clock after an extended illness resulting from dropsy. Mr. Pike had leen receiving medical treatment in this city, being removed to his home yesterday morning.Mr. Kike was bom at Ramona. Kan., February 1, 1839, and was therefore 7f. years, 10 months and days of ape. He removed to Victoria county about five years as?o. and was engaged in'*3 agricultural pursuits. Ho was a man of th»* strictest integrity and the finest character. an»l had many friends. j *'He is survived by tour children, 11 three daughters and one non: Mrs. J. j M. Pike, Miss Fannie Pike and T. A. Fike, of Salem, and Mrs T,. C.
