County Tearns , Divide Honors In Twin BillsTwin bills were divided in last ( night's Pittsylvania County high ■ school basketball .programs.Dan Kiver and Brosville boys won their games while Spring Garden and Altavista girls were victorious.Dan River scored an easy 57-29 victory over Altavista, with the winners using mostly second stringers in the second half, Dan Biver got off to a fast start with Donald Layne scoring the team’s first nine points. He had a total of 12 for the game. The ^pacesetters, however, were Billy Bennett and Leroy Arthur with 18 and 17 joints respectively, ‘Williamson and Gentry with eight each topped Altavista.Garnett Boyd and James Hylton led Brosville to a 56-47 win over Spring Garden with 15 and 14 points respectively. Bill Bryant was high man of the game and topped Spring Garden with his 20 points. Bonnie Williams was run-nerup with 18.The Altavista girls turned back the Dan River sextet, 52-45, Grees was high with 23 points and Earner next with 19. Gilbert paced Dan River and was high for the game with 29 points.Mary Giles piled up 26 points for Spring Garden’s girls in beating Brosville by a 64-46- score. Kathleen French was high for the losers with 20.
