Thigpen left early tills morning for Baton Rouge where he Is inking Louis Frasier, negro, convicted in the district court here last week of manslaughter In connection with the killing of Shop Forks, another negro.Frasier was tried for murder, but the jury rendered a verdict of manslaughter with a recommendation to the court of mercy for the accused. Tech also identified the negro as the one who had trailed them with questionable in-tent.Since the Lewis negro is married and is well known in Ruston where he has been in the employ of a local business man for sometime, parish authoritieswere at a loss to understand the chargespreferred against him at first.No difficulty was experienced at the time of the arrest of Lewis because of the quiet manner in which it was made.
