OHIO, WEDNESDAY,WAY IN TO TARAWA — TAKEN AT HIGHSTROLLSTALINVSLTerrorwmms Learn DoorsMakesDaniel (Manse) Wyne, 41, a Salt Creek Township farm worker, was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon when he was struck in the left chest over the heart by a charge from a sawed-off shotgun held by his estranged wife, Bessie, 38, and a daughter, Ada Lucille, 17, Prosecutor Harley Meyer reported.Magistrate Frank St. Clair, who served as acting coroner in the absence of Dr. E. A. Person, withheld a verdict pending further investigation by Prosecutor Meyer and Sheriff Floyd Duffy. Meyer was accompanied to the death scene by Deputy Sheriffs Frank Larimer and A. J. Waldron, Mrs. Clara Camp-F bell, Common Pleas Court stenog-| rapher, and St. Clair. Neither Mrs.Wyne nor her daughter was taken into custody.Prosecutor Meyer reported that Wyne, a former resident of Vinton County, had been released from the Hocking County Jail at 9:30 A. M. Tuesday after serving a 10-day sentence for violation of arestraining order in connection with his wife’s divorce action which was filed in the Court of Common Pleas on November 10.The shooting occurred between 2:30 and 3 P. M. according to the officials.Victim Waa DrinkingWyne was arrested recently by Sheriff Duffy for contempt of court after he disobeyed the restraining order preventing him from entering upon the premises of his estranged wife. He was alleged to have broken into the house and struck his wife and children, threatening to kill them,the prosecutor said.After being discharged from the jail Tuesday morning, investigating authorities reported, Wyne started drinking in a Logan tavern and then hitch-hiked to South Bloomingville where he continued drinking.
