Hart pleaded not guilty and la being held j without bond.Hart w an arrested Friday night following the fatal shooting of Harry Crlppen, 43, atso of Beebe, father of j seven children,; According to a story of ths shoot* i tng told to fthertff Wayne Wlngett, by James Brandeberry, brother of Mrs. Hart, who witnessed the crime, Hart approached Crtppen with a .22 caliber rifle saying, You will laugh at me. will you?Crtppen attempted to wrestle the gun from Hart’s hands, Brandeberry stated, hut Hart fired, the bullet entering Crtppen's left chest. He died j almost, instantly.Hart, on his arrest later, told a conflicting story of what had taksn place prior to tha shooting.According to his story. Crtppen hadbeen attentive to Mra. Hart. He said that when he walked up to Crtppen who was feeding chickens he said: You’ve been up to your old tricks again.Hart claims that Crlppen then stuck him with a stick.Brandeberry told the officers that Hart had arisen that morning (Friday), about 6 o’clock and quarreled with Mrs. Hart. Hart, according to Brandeberry, had been drinking.Mrs. Hart corroborated Brandeber* ry‘s statements and added that her husband had thrown a beer bottle at her Bho said Crlppen had never molested her.
