A “tar party” was pulled off recently at Nara Visa, in the northernpart of this county. One of the leading citizens of the town and an ex-minister being the victim. One of the local papers in speaking of theaffair says:“The teritorial laws prescribe avery severe penalty for the crime forwhich the man was tarred. Some* !times it is much better for the community and all concerned to let the law take its course.”
