D. Risinger, apprehended the black near noon today on the streets here. He was immediately turned over to the parish authorities for questioning-.’The negro, described as a half-wit” by officers, is said to have made advances on a young Ruston girl, student at Louisiana Tech here, yesterday morning about 11 o’clock. According to reports, the negro accosted the girl as she was returning to her home from classes at the school. The young lady did not complain to officers until last night when questioned about the affair. Her assertion indicated that the black had asked her questions, but did not harm her.The second report of the negro's misconduct within the city was received about 9 o’clock this morning, when a married woman told police that a negrohad followed her when she started on a shopping tour downtown. He is alleged to have made an indecent proposition to her after following her about a block.She became frightened and rushed, home and reported the matter to local officers.Upon being questioned by Marshal Risinger this morning, Lewis denied any connection with the cases.
