Of Newbftrn Wants to Know Who He is and • Where He Came Prom- -Arthur Bayles, a young man residing near Newbern, this county, is making a most persistent effort to find out who he ia and where he came from. To the postmasters and police of the country, especially in the East, he has directed the following letter:MMy friend—I thought I would write you a letter and tell you that I was a lost boy, and I was abandoned in the city of Columbus 20 years ago at the age of 5 years and was found in the street and taken toa hotatl for a couple of days in thertbelierthat the man who had left me would come back,“I was afterward taken to the poorhouse and a man by the name of Ephraim Davis took mo for three years. Then a person by the name of Michael Bayh took me and raised me. If you don’t know of a boy who was stolen about that time, please hand this to some editor of a newspaper. I go by the name of Arthur Bayles, Newbern, Ind.”Since Bayles got curious about himself he has came to the conclusion he is the victim of a kidnapping case, and from the investigation that he has made, believes that his parents reside in the East, and that they are •persons of social distinction.
