Thieves Caught.Some time ago a man named Fred* erick Moss, of Aboite strtion, stole a meerschaum pipe from one J. M. Steele and eluded Constable Wilkin* eon who went in pursuit of him. Last Friday, Moss, who has just returned from the west, was arrested by Sheriff Schiefer and Deputy Sheriff Doyle and that morning Justice Pratt bound him over in the sum of $160.That evening Deputy Sheriff Doyle arrested a journeyman printer on Ool-umfaia street named Ohas. F. Alvord. On that afternoon Alvord stole a silver watch from Fred Snyder, an employe of Hattersley Co., which he pawned at Goldsmith’s for $7. On Alvord’a person the deputy sheriff found $6 35 and a pawn ticket. Alvord is a tramp typo and is known from Maine to Mexico. Sometime ago he married a Fort Wayne woman who accompanied him on his expedi* tions and died en route.
