COUNTY COURT(Continued From Page 1)both of whom were riding in the cab of the truck with Dugger on the afternoon of the shooting.Robert Hargrove, Elkmont 1, said that he rode to Decatur withDuggertobick up his (Hargrove's) girl friend and that both he and Dugger had been drinking. He said they picked up the girl,Clora Davis, whose home is Elkmont 2 but at present is working in Decatur at the Palace cafe and started back to Athens.Both Hargrove and Miss Davis said they did not remember forcing any cars off the road, but that Dugger stopped a truck which he saw ahead of them ex-sented by David U. Patton of Athr ens and Noble J. Bothtestified they paid very little attention because they did not know anything w’as wrong.They said they heard a voice say something about being forced off the road and looked through the rear window of the cab towrith an up hands. Thelow’ed shortly after that and they got out of the truck to find Dugger dead in the highway. They said three shots were fired, al-stated to Sheriffthough Kelsoe Sandlin following the shooting fired five times.Hargrove said he ran to Dugger and turned him over, but that Dugger gasped a little and w'as dead.Miss Davis said that both had been drinking but that wouldn’t say that Dugger drunk.Solicitor Steele prosecuted the case.
