Column 5)Farmer AppearsAgainst Mob inGeorgia MurdersGrand Jury Will Hear Tale: Of Shotgun Lynching ofFour NegroesATHENS, Ga.—Husky farmer Loy Harrison was called before a Federal Grand Jury today to tell, in minute detail, his account of how a lynching mob seised four Negroes from him and shot them to death in neighboring Walton County July twenty-fifth.The well-to-do planter and about twenty other witnesses were locked in a witness room as the Grand Jury convened at nine a. m.Five of the witnesses to be questioned today were Negroes, someof them close relatives of the victims, Roger Malcolm, George Dorsey and their wives.Another witness was Barney Hester. Jr„ the white man stabbed by Bober Malcolm. The Negro had been bailed out of jail by Harrison at the county seat.
