Three Desperate Negroes Placed in Lockett’s Convict Camp.Atlanta, Dec. 1.—Officer Ryan reached here to-day from Scriven county with three negro convicts, whose names and sentences are as follows: Joe Reeves 5 years, John Wright ft years, Andrew Black, alias Hardy Mobley, 10 years. At Sylvania, Thursday night, they attempted to break mil, and threatened tokill the guard who started with them. They were deposited at Lockett’s camp, near Atlanta, where they will be worked making bricks.
