They told the court they had no counsel and no money to engage counsel. Judge Knowles appointed F. I*. Sterling and Theo Muftly to defend them. The accused are both young men.An Indictment for murder was returned against Thad Robinson, a colored soldier, who sled James Williams, a fellow soldier, also colored, at Fort Custer, on the ('row reservation. F. F. Stranahan was appointed to defend Robinson.The court appointed S. S. Carpenter to defend Ferry Henderson, accused of larceny on the Crow reservation.
