James Craanen, assistant pastor of St. Margaret-Mary Catholic Church of Neenah. He told Father Craanen, with whom he was acquainted, that he had shot his wife and Father Craanen notified Neenah police.Derber, picked up by Oshkosh authorities and placed in the county jail pending filing of charges, said he threw the revolver away somewhere on County Trunk A.Born In OshkoshThe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Felker, she was born in Oshkosh on Nov. 8. 1940, and graduated from Oshkosh High School. She had been employed by Employers’ Group Insurance Co. here, and on March 21, 1958, was married to Richard Derber.Mrs. Derber was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.Surviving besides her husband and parents are one son, Mark, who was at home with the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Felker; and two sisters, Mrs. Carol Barter, Oshkosh, and Miss Ruth Ann Felker, Hollywood, Calif.Services are tentatively set for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fiss Bills Funeral Home, with the Rev. G. F. Nerenhausen, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.1tl
