Hewltl testified: 1 am stopping at Westminster; I was an inmate of the juil; Mickey aud I worked in the same t rootn; we each u*«-d a knife sod awl In 1 onr work; 1 saw Mickey try to slab another man; caught bold of his arm; with an oath he told me to let go; I told him to stop; he swore and said, “I'll put you through;*’ I put uiy arms round hiiu to hold him, slipped and fell; he struck at me; I had some trouble with biiu lhree weeks before.C. It was not a dangeious wound.The jury returned a verdict of guilty of assault without intent to kill. llickey ha* about one year longer to serve at the house oi correction, and sentence was deferred.The court gave the counsel for the defendant in the Haskell incendiary cate till next Wednesday to file exception'.At 4.40 the court adjourned di.
