Agents Say Floyd County Farmer Had Trap Set to Blow I Them to Pieces. j* 1Flan** were made to lt;hn,tmlte Federal prohibition agents In the event a raid was matte on the still operated on the farm of Henry Loi, farmer of Lafayette township, Floyd count}, but the officers raided the Loi farm so quickly they thwarted use of thd* dynamite layout, they :nld Bert C Morgan, Federal pro-e hibition agent for Indiana, yesterday.Federal prohibition agents under Dan Moore of Bedford, grout* chief of southern Indiana, raided the Loi farm* last Thursday according to a report made to Morgan, and surprised Loi before he could make any defense.Shot From Ambush.According to Moore, 100 feet of low tension copper wire wa* found near the still and connected to several sticks of dynamite, with caps ready for explosion. The dvnaimte was used in case the prohibition agents approaches the still, the report said, A 100-gallon still was found, seventy gallons of ‘ mule, twenty-seven barrels of mash, sugar, oil stoves and other equipment The agents said they received a * tip*' on the explosive and that threats had b*ep made they would be 1 blowed to h—11 if they ms do a raid.The agents also arrested Matt Strle-geh a farmer of the same town, the same afternoon.
