The inventor is Mr. 1 George H. Cove, and his so-called i invention is a thermoelectric battery, which if erected in a back yard or on the roof of a building, would, it is •claimed, generate enough' electricity from the suns rays in one day to last a .household from one to two weeks. An installation set up on the roof of j .a building in Maiden .Lane, New York \ -City,, from which incandescent lamps were supplied, was found to he connected by concealed wires with the Edison service in the building. Many inquiries regarding the scheme have been received at this office, and it was apparent that the promoters operated largely through a “sucker” y tmailing list such as is used by other f electrical “fakes” still doing business, L —Electrical World.7
