Scott county sheriff’s forces Mon-day night were investigateing the slaughter of 22 pigis, believed stolen from the farm of Fred Wessel near ■Eldridge. The bodies of the pigs were found along the roadside. Their heads had apparently been bashed with an iorn pipe or club. Mr. Wessel, who reported 50 pigs stolen, said he could not identify the pigs positively, but declared they compared in size and color with those stolen from him.n 1 A_l_ • a -i n a
