QUINCYCharles Guppy of 18 Revere road reported to the police yesterday that he struck a woman with his motorcycle while he was coming out of his yard | Saturday evening*. He said the woman picked herself up and walked away without giving* her name. Later he learned that she was a Mrs McEachernof Graham st.The West Quincy fire apparatus got a run on a telephone alarm Saturday afternoon to a roof fire at the house 205 Copeland st. The damage was slight.Responding to a telephone alarm at j12:30 yesterday morning, Motor Engine 2j of Atlantic went to a partly finished ; house on Russell st and extinguished a fire in a barrel of shavings. The house is owned by Richard Barry. iRev Eric I. Lindh, pastor of Bethany I Congregational Church, occupied his pulpit again yesterday after his vaca- •tion. _The funeral of Mrs Richard Prout took place yesterday afternoon at the home, 19 Miller Stile road. The services were conducted by Rev Frederick E. Buck, rector of St Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church of Wollaston. Burial was in Mt Wollaston Cemetery.Rev George W. Sentence was suspended till Dec 31. Russell Lord of Quincy was firmed $15 on a charge of operating an automobile at Milton without having his license in his possession. On a charge of failing to stop when ordered by a police ofiicer Lord was found not guilty and was discharged.
