Fravy, Frank Kink, Christian Stingle and Elijah Lacount, of Clinton township, were arrested for “belling” one Flowers. At a trial in a justice court in Goshen, the jury disagreed. Flowers invited them to the “belling”, and then went back on his invitation, refusing to “treat”. The young men helped themselves to apples, and filled the pump stock with sticks. One of the party, Jas. Long, turned state's evidence.—The Servia conference of the United Brethren church adopted the committee’s report, which found the Rev. J. L. Powers guilty of Immoral and imprudent conduct and recommended the erasure of his name from the conference records; that Rev. F. H. Bailey requested to have his own name stricken from the record and the conference permitted him to withdraw undercharges and requested him to return his ministerial papers to the conference.
