Clay Authorities -Seek Custody of Men, WomanFugitives Confess Abduction of SheriffAt Ada, County FarmerTwo men and a woman charged with kidnaping and grand larceny in Clay county were captured by police in Chicago this morning after a search which had spread throughout the midwest since last Tuesday. •The trio, according to a United Press report, admitted kidnaping Norman County Sheriff Oscar Bang, Ada, and his deputy, Marvin- Erickson, and fleeing in their car Tuesday morning and later that same day kidnaping Robert K. Lynde, farmer near Glyndon, and escaping in his machine after thefirst stolen car had been driven into a ditch.Clay County Sheriff Rosco S. Brown immediately wired Chicago police that the prisoners were wanted on a fugitive warrant and County Attorney James'A. Garrity said that local authorities would ask that the trio be returned to this county for prosecution.Arrested By Police.According to the United Press story, the two men, George F. Heck, 22, and John N. Pape, 23, both fu« gitives from the Washington state reformatory Monroe, Wash., were arrested after police noticed two suspicious characters on a downtown street. Pape had two guns in his possession and Heck was carrying one gun.Heck at first claimed his name was Eric Erickson but later admitted it was an alias while the other . prisoner said his name was Paul Bryson of Oregon. Pape had given his name as Bryson when arrested early Tuesday at Twin Valley for suspected theft of a radio from the county machine shed.The girl, Gladys Kaiser, 19, Hatton, N. D., was found in a nearbyboteL-—She- told -police that she was the mother of two children and this tallies with information obtained by local authorities in their investigation here.Admit Abductions.Whether the car stolen from Lynde had been recovered was not ascertained. The two men allegedly admitted the abductions and theft of the two cars but denied theft of the radio.If the trio will be returned to Clay county for prosecution is uncertain as a number of other charges are pending against them, Sheriff Brown said that warrants had been issued in Norman county and that several federal charges are pending. The men are also wanted in Washington for (Number Five on Pase 12)
