Oilin' AKY.Dratb of Mnry A; Bur*.The many friends of Miss Mary A. Bur* were sadly pained to hear thenews of her death, which occurred yes-1 terdav morning at 7.30. at her home, 5*12 North Eighth street.M.ss Burt; had been a sufferer for a number of years from a complication of stomach trouble and consumption.Deceased was born in this city F* b-ruary 1, 1*lt;2. and received her education In the local schools. She taugit in various county schools, but finally made a specialty of teaching Germs*1. For two terms she taught German In the Burlington Iristltute-College. where she proved an earnest and enthusiastic worker. She made many friends amoni her pupils and co-workers. Miss Bur? was an earnest Christian, and a member of the Free Methodist church, corner of Arch and Garden ttreets. For almost five years she was superintendent of the Sunday school of her church, and proved herself zealous and efficient in this position of responsibility. For the last eight months her health did not permit her to fulfill her duties as ( superintendent, but during this time , she has been the object of much loving sympathy from her many friends In church and Sunday school. Her long I illness was alleviated as far as poss.bl* by travel and consultation with skilled physicians at home and abroad. Tender the watchful care of her father, John Burg, and her sister Kate, she traveled In Europe in 1S1M. seeking relief in Germany and in Swltterland. Finally she was removed to the mountains in Colorado, remaining under the care of her brother. Dr. Burg, of Denver. But in spite of ail that was done for her by loving relatives and friends she suffered constantly and gradually ! faded away. Her young life was full of promise, and the example of her steady Christian character will long be felt in church circles. The funeral services will be held to-morrow at 2 p. m. in the Free Methodist church, corner of Arch and Garden streets, whence the body will be taken to Aspen Grove for Interment.
