Unprovoked Assault*Without provocation a gang of West Virginia desperadoes swooped down on a picnic-party at Glen wood Ohio, and broke up the party by their orgies. Revolvers, knives, hames, singletrees and clubs were used. Lew Ilolley was killed outright and William Porter and Van Link held, two members of the picnic party, fatally stabbed, Alonzo Porter had his skull fractured and half his face cut off. John Wallace had part of his hand cut off, and an eye gouged out. The ruffians are members of the Holley band of outlaws, and have killed at least a dozen men.
