Jeffrey, 33, of Keyser, a clerk working night shift alone early Monday a t the Keyser 7-Eleven when she was shot in the back room of the store.Swick and Hottle are also prime suspects in the murders of Donna D. Ours, 27, and Leon Miller, 25, who lived together in their mobile home on Route 28 in Cabins at Grant County. Their bodies were discovered early Monday. Ours’ vehicle, the yellow Geo, was stolen at that time.All three were shot to death and authorities believe the same small caliber weapon was used in all three shootings. Unconfirmed reports indicated a .22-caliber automatic handgun was removed by the escapees from one of the vehicles they allegedly stole in Grant County last week.Tuesday night’s manhunt centered in Fayette County. “It is believed that Hottle and Swick have been in and around the Ansted area of Fayette County,” Fayette CountySheriff Bill Laird said.Ansted police Tuesday afternoon set up a roadblock leading from Ansted to Fayetteville, a police spokeswoman saidWidower(Continued from 1A) girlfriend, was shot to death in the bedroom of the couple’s mobile home. He is sad. He cries. His energetic neighbors are gone. “I just carft get over it. There’s more and more murder all the time,”he lamented.“It leaves everybody with questions. Nobody knows the real motive of it. They were real nice people to live around. I iust can’t get over it,” he said.“And then this happened in the night sometime. He was shot in the back of the head and she was shot several times in her bed. People probably never will know the straight of it unless the ones who did it tell it. It’s a dirtv crime.”
