Young Man Held At Green Bay For Attacking Officer*Green Bay,' Wis., (ff)— Louis Nier, 22, was held today for circuit court trial on a four-year-old assault charge resulting from an attack upon Chester Walters, Green Bay policeman.The alleged assault upon the policeman occurred after Walters detained Nier for questioning relative to a stolen automobile. Walters was struck over the head with a hammer and Nier escaped. Nier, recently released from the Minnesota reformatory after serving a sentence for robbery, was bound over in court yesterday.
