Father Held In Court onCharge of Threatening Wife.With his whole family arrayed against him, Peter Fach, 1107 Grant street, arrested Wednesday night for abusing his family, protested innocence to the charges brought against him by his wife and children.He has threatened to kill me nnd last night I was afraid of my life,” Mrs. Fach declared*. A son and two daughters testified that Fach abused their mother and called her ugly names. A week ago he struck her and bruised her arms, the wife said. A blackjack rudely made y tar and rope was exhibited as the nstrumentwith which Fach is alle/.ed to have threatened his wife, to whom he has been married for over a score of years.While she admitted her husband was a steady worker, Mrs. Fach said he gave her but little money and spent the rest of it for intoxicants. This the prisoner denied.As Police Judge Quinn wanted to hear from witnesses for both sides, he continued the case to Friday i morning.
