Miss, couple, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Byrd, were rounding a curve in a non-passing zone heading west when their car collided nith a pickup truckdriven by Eddie Beckwith, 54. of Tallulah. |The couple and a passenger in the truck, John L. Dykes, 50. Of Tallulah, all were killed.Beckwith and four otherpassengers were taken to aVicksburg, M i s s., where officials said was in critical condition.Others injured included Barbara Gravely, 29. whose condition was described as good; Herman L. Green. (10. fair; Theodore Ash, 1H, good: and Janies E. Huddleston, 25, good. All are of Tallulah.Police said the collision occurred at 0:12 a.m. about one mile west of Mound. It was the second fatal head-on collision in the area this week. A Shreveport man and a Garland, Tes woman were killed Sunda on the saute highway.
