••NEW ‘PEN* TO EASE PROVINCES“Alberta’s Inspector of jails says the now Federal Penitentiary Act will cut the number of prisoners in provincial jails by 25 percent.“But E. E. Buchanan said in an Edmonton interview the change will not be felt in Alberta until a new Fedcrn Penitentiary is completed.prison will lake all prisoners from[Provincial Jails who are serving sentences of more than Six months.
