Former Resident Buys Fish LakeProf. Frederich G. Mueller, proprietor of Camp Indianola and several years ago principal of our high school, has purchased seven hundred acres of land, including a private lake of clear spring water near Prairie du Sac, which will become next summer one of the most unique camps for girls in the country.Pish Lake, three-quarters of a mile long, a half mile wide, and 75 feet deep in its center, will be the mermaid nucleus. It is surrounded by two farms, the Schoepp and Peter Ganser properties, purchased by Mr. Mueller.Among the groves of virgin trees-that surround the lake, Mr. Mueller,who is an instructor in the universitypsychology department and has operated Camp Indianola, for boys, for 20 years, plans to erect modern camp buildings to accommodate 150 girls. Construction is scheduled for next spring and the camp will be opened for the vacation period. It will be named “Indianoqua.”“It will be a sister camp to Indianola, which Prof. Mueller has so successfully operated, and a large percentage of the girls, whose ages will be from six to 18 years, will be sisters and cousins of the boys at Indianola. The latter has been patronized chiefly by Chibagoans, but among our150 boys we have residents of cities throughout the country.The two farms will continue to be operated Prctf. Mueller stated. The choice property is located on the line between Dane and Columbia counties.
