M.- Long went to Jackson, Ky., and on Friday returned with Dan. Isom (colored) who had been a fugitive for some time.Last September the grand jury returned an indictment against him for adultery and other serious charges, but Mr. Isom had vanished. Sheriff Humphrey has been persistent ia his efforts to locate him, and about a month ago learned he was in Jackson, Ky., working for the Green Bay Lumber Oo. He waited until last week when he had him arrested, and despatched Deputy Long for him as stated.Mr. Long says he came back willingly and without the formality of requisition papers from the governor. Mr. Isom says he did not know he was wanted or would have returned. It remains to be seen what the outcome will be, but his arrest is certainly a good piece of work by our local officers. When they start after a man he may as well give himself up, forsobner or later they will get him-~ • :■ ' \Edmonson-Dunning Nuptials.
