The preliminary trial of Dr. John A. Ritter for the shooting of Marshal Samuel Roberts, at West Baden several weeks ago, was held before Esq. Charles Burton, of French Lick township, Tuesday, and resulted iu Dr. Ritter being bound over tocourt under a $3,000 bond whichwas given.
