Henderson, came to a close at noon today, when Judge Dwyer announced that he would grant the defendant bond in the sum of $5000, Bond was provided and Naurath released this afternoon. On the bond are J. L. Gembler, W. A. Wurzbach and E. F. Wurzbach.The concluding evidence in the Naurath habeas corpus proceedings before Judge Edward Dwyer was heard yesterday afternoon. Mr. Davies made his argument in behalf of the state this morning.The defense followed the plan inaugurated at the opening of the proceedings Monday, and Tuesday evening and placed numerous witnesses on the stand to prove that EL C. Henderson was a dangerous and violent man.In rebuttal the state placed James Newcomb on the stand. Newcomb testified that the deceased deplored the ill feeling which existed between him and Naurath. and said he hoped nothing serious would ever come of it* Newcomb also testified that he saw Naurath walk past Henderson’s saloon the morning prior to the kill-ing.The feature of the day’s proceedings in the case was the defendant’s testimony.
