D. Tyler 8.M. at I he Tnree Court of Petty Sessions on Monday.Pet. Conaghan of Tatee Police said on August 3. he saw Swan at Taree Police StationPet. Conaghan said Swan told him that on July 31, he told Churchill who Is the garage proprietor nt Pong Flat that he was an employee of Pioneer Tours. Brisbane, and that one of the Company's vehicles had broken down.Churchill let him have a head gasket, 4 gallons of petrol, a quart of oil and a spark plug valued at £3.Pet. Conaghan added: “I• told Swan Churchill told me that you asked him to send the account to Pioneer Tours. Brisbane ami the Company would pay for it.• Swan said I only told him •hat story because I didn't have money to pay for the parts.Churchill. Hetherington wauled to sell a car and defendant agreed to show It to a prospective buyer.Hr look it to th- buyer’s home* but later drove It to Kew where it broke down. The car was abandoned.A taxi driver was driving defendant to Newcastle but at Raymond Terrace the cab was invo'ved In an accident.Constable L. Brown, of Taree Police, went to Raymond Terrace and arrested defendant.
